Our environment is taking an absolute throw down lately with all of the bushfires, floods, erosion and extinction occurring on a daily basis, which is why it’s super important for all businesses to consider actions they can take to help minimise the impact of humans on the environment. Little Creatures in Freo is taking a big step in the right direction, and it’s possible for you to help them out too – and all by drinking a beer!
“Little Creatures in Fremantle is pleased to announce it will support a Coastcare project with local community groups at Yallingup to help prevent coastal erosion and degradation.
The Making Steps, Not Waves campaign will see $20,000 raised across two initiatives. $10,000 will be raised through profits of Little Creatures’ new beer ‘Little Love Coastal IPA’ throughout November. Another $10,000 of the profits from Fremantle Beerfest sales will be donated to Coastcare. The funds will go towards the construction of a new pathway from the carpark to the beach at Yallingup to help reduce the human impact on the natural environment.
Little Creatures’ head brewer Russ Gosling encouraged Freo residents and beer-lovers to get behind the initiative by getting along to the Fremantle beer fest and enjoying a Little Love… or any of the other flavoursome Little Creatures beers on offer.
“At Little Creatures, we have always tried to do our little bit for the environment to ensure it can be enjoyed now and by future generations. We started our partnership with Coastcare three years ago because the beach and surf is such a quintessential part of the WA lifestyle,” Gosling said.
“Beer is a wonderful thing, but we wanted it to have a bit of extra meaning. That’s why we created Little Love Coastal IPA.”
Make sure to head to Little Creatures Fremantle and grab a pint of Little Love Coastal IPA and do your bit for the environment! Tag #perthhappenings if you end up going, we’d love to hear how it tastes!
