Keeping it real in our City

The Aviary - Reimagined- life in the heart of the city!

With the largest open rooftop space in Perth, The Aviary is a firm favourite in the Perth bar scene and is the perfect place for a Sunday sesh on a lazy summer day, or a great spot for cocktails with the girls on a Friday night.

This month the Aviary re-launched with a new look for the upcoming summer season, with fresh and tropical vibes and one hell of a party!

The old-school fake turf has now been replaced with gorgeous timber decking, plus new furniture and a few extra tropical plants dotted around the space adds to the new lush look.

While the DJ pumped out the old school hits from his gilded birdcage, the roving saxophonist and delicious canapes got the party started, but the main event of the night was of course the drinks!

The Aviary has a huge selection of cocktails, wines and beers, with a delicious choice of the night being the Aviary Special, with gin, elderflower, lemon and honey….shaken, not stirred. Special mention also has to go to their range of espresso martinis, with the boys from Mr Black cold brew serving up a selection – not for the faint-hearted these drinks are STRONG! (in the best way!)

If you haven’t been to the Aviary yet, or if you haven’t been for a while, definitely check it out next time you are in the CBD, there are limited tickets still available for their Melbourne Cup party, or even only for the espresso martinis and epic Perth skyline views! Just don't forget to tag Perth Happenings in your 'cheers' boomerangs!

Hi! I’m a country girl at heart though having moved around a lot when I was young; I’ve lived in the Goldfields, the Wheatbelt and the Avon Valley, but I’ve spent most of my life in Busselton in the South West.

I love going to live gigs and events, and on weekends you’ll often find me in cafes embarrassing my boyfriend by taking terrible photos of our food #brunchclub or taking way too many selfies with Cleo.

I love discovering new things to do in Perth and trying new places, which is why I’m so excited to be writing for Perth Happenings, where I can do just that!
