The Amazing 'Just Grazing'

Grazing boards, tables and platters were the hottest entertaining trend in 2017 - and it doesn’t look like that’s changing anytime soon Why would it? Being able to choose from a delicious selection cheeses, cold meats, crackers, fruits, dips, breads and sweet treats? Sounds like absolute heaven to me!


Bec Beaman noticed this hot trend and created her catering company, Just Grazing in May of last year. That’s right, her company just had its 1st birthday!
Bec is one talented lady; she’s been baking for the last two years with Sweet Inspirations Perth, her other business, which is actually how Just Grazing came about!

It all began when she was doing dessert catering for a client’s engagement party, which was actually a planned surprise wedding, and meant that there needed to be nibbles for the guests. Bec mentioned that she was thinking of doing grazing boards and so her client asked her to put her skills to the test. From there, Just Grazing was born!
Bec comes from an Italian family and so the whole antipasto thing is in her blood; having grown up eating it to celebrate special occasions, or even just to start a meal!

She’s inspired by her Italian heritage and traditions, and tries to bring that into each grazing board that she creates.
“I use my nonna’s arancini recipe and my mum’s meatballs for the boards. My mum also has a preserve range that we sell at farmers markets, so we always have a jar of her delicious tomato relish on every table to compliment the meats and cheeses.” Bec said.
“That recipe is my great grandmother’s so there is SUCH a huge family connection with it all. I love to create a conversation point where people gather to graze and chat.” 

Finding a point of difference in businesses and being original with social media (especially with so many grazing boards business popping up), isn’t easy, but Bec has her own unique way of doing things.
“I’ve kept my set-ups as honest and as rustic as possible, my point of difference is that I do all of them on specially made rustic wooden boards.” 
“I still get the ‘WOW’ factor with the different heights I create and I love to set the mood with candle light and twinkle lights. For my set-ups I like to use all wood with some rose-gold hued glass and some native flowers and foliage as decoration. This helps make my boards a focal point for every party and special occasion.” Bec added.


Since starting last May, Just Grazing has done around 50 set-ups and is showing no signs of slowing down! “My goal is to be able to do this as my full-time job! My dream is for Just Grazing to be known for my amazing boards and tables that are also affordable.”
