Keeping it real in our City

Hampers by Design

There is nothing that I love more than looking behind the scenes of a superb local business. This business stood out to me the most when it came to a phenomenal website and then an office that just blew me away. When I chatted with the owner, Lee-Anne, her passion and love for what she does inspired me and I fell in love with this local biz...

Who am I talking about you may ask? I'd like to introduce you to 'Hampers by Design!'

Hampers by Design is a family run business that started at home in their home and have gone from strength to strength to their premises in Wangara and they truly live the Shop Local ethics. Taken straight from their website- check out the awards they have won;

Wanneroo Business Association – Best New Business 2008
Small Business Development Corporation – Best Small Business 2010
City of Wanneroo Business Awards – Online and Digital Excellence Award 2015
City of Wanneroo Business Awards – Best Small Business (5 & Under Employees) 2016

and from everything I have seen they deserve each and every accolade.

When I went to visit I was blown away by how organised, personalized and professional they are. This is no backyard biz, this is something to sit back and be in awe. The front door was wrapped in a bow and I thought that was a gorgeous touch. Inside was a team of local people, friends, family and those who have become friends and family! There is a really lovely vibe in the space and I think this translates into the product.

When we headed upstairs I had no idea what would greet me- racks upon racks of the MOST beautiful hampers I have ever seen in my life; and these were just the orders! There were SO many goodies from champagne to chocolate, cookies to coffee and hampers and gifts for the men too - there was just so much to take in.

I sat down to have a chat about the business and was invited to try some of the local goods. I obviously did not say no! As much local product and local businesses are used, whilst ensuring that if a product isn't local, it is because it is the very best quality and that is what you get in these hampers. The focus is on the WOW factor and oh boy do they deliver.

So now you know a little of the back story here is the part that will make YOUR life easier!

If you have forgotten someone's birthday or your anniversary, you can order before 10 am and have same day delivery (check availability during peak times). How convenient is that if you are known to be forgetful, like me. You can also order in advance and the website is beyond easy to navigate.

There are hampers for honestly every single occasion. New babies, new homes, Christmas, Mother's Day (hint hint!), pamper hampers, my fave the three tier hamper and SO much more. Each hamper has been specially crafted but you don't have to stick with what they suggest. Want to add a teddy? Done. A bit more chocolate? Consider it no problem and delivered by a friendly personal driver- that's all part of the service. I have met their driver and I have heard in good faith that he will even wish your loved one (or boss!) a Happy Birthday too! Local and professional.

As an example, here is the perfect Mother's Day gift...

The Sweet Tea Hamper (how awesome does this look!)

Mum will get an oversize teacup and saucer, loose leaf tea, tea blossom silken pyramid tea bags, cookies galore, conserves and chocolate. Imagine giving this beauty to Mum on Sunday morning and then asking her to stay in bed and making her an oversize cuppa she can relax and enjoy. I know that I would certainly be giving my boys extra love and kisses for an oversized cuppa in bed.

This is only one of the awesome Mother's Day hampers and they start from only $47 with a mini choc and cookies gift box only $38! Which is so affordable and great value.

If you want to make your next special occasion, day of happiness or just to remind someone of how much you appreciate them, make Hampers by Design your first stop. There are options a plenty and something to suit everyone.

Head on over to their website now and make your Mother's day!

Pieta Sharpe

Hi there, I'm Pieta. I'm the boss lady here at Perth Happenings.

I love getting out into the community and asking all the quetions - who, what, when, where, why and how. We have been growing Perth Happenings to support the small local businesses and events that perhaps can't afford large scale exposure and this is my passion.

We work with only locally based businesses so we can keep their families with income, conversely if you work with Perth Happenings you are keeping my children in soccer - it is a win win!
I have a team of amazing bloggers and look forward to introducing them to you - Thanks for supporting us.
