Keeping it real in our City

Darling’s Day Out - The Ultimate Birthday

The most important thing on an eight year olds mind – Where am I going to have my next birthday party? That big question led to many long discussions in our household. Miss 8 wanted to do something new and different for her party this year.

With already having attended parties at every play centre and trampolining place in Perth, and me wanting to avoid having a party at home at all costs, the search was on for the perfect party venue. And the perfect party venue we found at Darling’s Day Out in Wangara, so we booked a Pamper Party for 10 girls.

On arrival we were greeted by Danielle, the lovely owner of Darling’s Day Out and the girls got ready to be pampered by getting into their satin bathrobes. They then relaxed on the lounges with a foot spa that contained flower petals and oil fragrance.

When they were then given cucumbers for their eyes I was suddenly wishing I was an eight year old who could join in too! Toxic free nail polish was applied to their toes and fingernails while they sipped pink lemonade from champagne glasses. What luxury!

A real highlight of the day for the girls was the craft activity that Danielle had organised for them. The girls got to be JoJo for the day as they decorated their own oversized bows which they could take home with them.

Sequins, stickers, ribbon and glitter galore the girls came up with some store worthy masterpieces. As Danielle is a Mum herself, she has the perfect insight as to what trends young girls are currently into and she certainly nailed it with the bow activity at our party.
Food and drinks were all provided as part of the package.

The girls feasted on fruit kebabs, marshmallows, popcorn, chips and lollies as they chatted and compared nail polish colours. The cake was the only thing that I had to supply, but even then the lovely ladies set it up with candles, cut it up and served it.

The party ended with a bit of fun on the wii as the girls danced up a storm with Just Dance. Party bags for all of the guests were another thing that was taken care of and provided for us. Miss 8 even received a special birthday gift in her party bag. Most of the guests Mums chose to spend the party across the road enjoying some quiet time having a coffee while knowing their girls were in the safe hands of the friendly staff that all have Working with Children cards.

The best part of the whole experience for me was that I really didn’t have to do a thing other than to watch the girls enjoy themselves! Danielle and her staff could not have been friendlier and dedicated to making sure each of the girls had a great time. The girls all enjoyed being pampered and I came away feeling relaxed as I hadn’t had to spend all weekend cooking party food and cleaning up!

The cost for a Pamper Party is $400 for eight guests. Each guest after that costs $30 with there being a maximum of 20 guests. There are several variations to the pamper parties that are available so best to check out the details on their website.

They have high teas and on trend parties with themes such as unicorns and mermaids available to book too.
